Urban structural scenario - co-operative process. Corporate identity and transformation.

2012–13

A former industrial area is to be restructured. Significant grain silos and high building volumes, a listed villa and green corridors pose particular challenges. In consultation with experts from the planning department and the design advisory board, a co-operative urban development process is being carried out to create a guideline and establish framework conditions. The qualities of the location are overlaid with utilisation and development scenarios and evaluated.
The characteristics of the commercial island should continue to be noticeable despite restructuring with predominantly residential uses. The cooperative team developed various development and utilisation scenarios for this purpose. By designing cubic structures, open green structures and courtyard spaces can be secured and made accessible to the public.
