The workshop dealt with the repositioning of an art and design university in a new, extremely interconnected world, highlighting its own talents and ambitions generated by the internal network of students and alumni.

12 alumni of the Institute of Architecture, together with 10 students each, designed the "Neue Angewandte", with its prominent location on the Ringstraße, as a prototype for the future of art and design education. In addition to a reorganization of the overall structure of the institution, statements were expected above all about the situational mediation of knowledge and experience, as well as about the urban impact of architecture.

In a subsequent public presentation of the work from the workshops and an alumni exhibition at the Sliver Gallery, as well as a panel discussion on "The Future of Architectural Education," the results were placed in an expanding framework for discussion.
